Corsham III v Sutton Benger II 22 -14

A good turn out for the Benger 2's fielding 16 players(not all on the pitch at the same time - Ed); to Corshams 13. Congratulations for Tom, Ollie (can i get my sling back?), Ant, and Nick for escaping their first game drink promotions!

With Benger already 2 men up at the first kick off, perhaps we should have come away with more points on the board. However, nothing can be taken away from a very experienced Corsham side. Alas, team cohesion and experience was probably the crux on the Benger 22-14 defeat. However, when Benger heads were switched on, we were playing some very good rugby, with dinger, Paul, and both Sam's bursting though gaps in the Corsham side. I'd like to think a lot of the players learned some valuable lesson today that can only strengthen our side.
Great team work lead to make the try for Paul in the corner, and Doc eventually kicked the cross field ball taken nicely by a surprised Mark O. to score the our second try. Man of the match goes to Sam H for his massive presence on the field, level headedness, and skill on the pitch. Also, great game Dinger (sorry, you know why....) and winger Sam W for some great runs, catches (not even looking like dropping the ball once), and superb tackling!

Any way, i would like all Benger 2 players to confirm availability on our away game to Devizes ASAP (or i get in trouble). If we keep our concentration level high, keep the good communication going, and honing our skills at training, we'll have no worries against Devizes.
