Sutton Benger 36 Supermarine 5
Sutton Benger cruised to a 36-5 victory over visitors Supermarine in what turned out to be quite a disjointed affair. Benger seized initiative of the tie going into half time 31-0 up. Nick Bolter and Tim Denning both scored tries with sniping runs and Sam Maggs scored an excellent solo try with a devastating turn of pace to score from within his own half. Supermarine found success in the lineouts which provided a platform to attack using their powerful centres. The second half was blighted with injuries and infringements which both teams struggled to gain momentum from, limiting the scoring to one try a piece, Bengers coming from Rich Johnson who showed great pace to score on his left wing. The win consolidates Bengers mid-table position.
