Sutton Benger produced a fighting display against top of the table Devizes which saw them go down valiently 29-11. Benger were not overoared by their opponents and started brightly, carrying the ball well into contact and not letting the hosts settle into the game. An early penalty chance allowed Chris Crome to kick Benger into a 3-0 lead, a deserved reward for a passionate start to the game. Almost immediately Devizes pressured from the restart and after an infringement levelled the scores. Devizes slowly started to build some momentum and gained further penalty points through more Benger foul play. Devizes went on to score three tries, working the ball well through the hands to exploit overlaps on the wings. Benger held their heads up high and a determined forward pack gained a deserved try to complete the scoring, Matt Stacey battering is way through the Devizes line to score from 5 metres.
